Pagos de Araiz Winery is committed to making great, high-quality, monovarietal wines from DO Navarra and is receiving excellent acknowledgement in awards and competitions with its premium Blaneo range. The latest wine launched on sale, Blaneo Rosé 2022, has just won the Gold Medal at the 8th edition of the International Competition VinoSub30 España 2023. These awards aim to introduce high-quality wines to young people and encourage responsible wine drinking.

Production is limited to only 7,200 bottles of this premium wine that was adored by the jury, made up of 30 young wine tasters in a blind tasting of wines from different countries last March in Madrid. The wine belongs to the Blaneo range together with three other high-quality wines: Blaneo Syrah, Blaneo Chardonnay and Blaneo Garnacha. As its name indicates, this brand represents new wines that reflect the clarity of their monovarietal essence.

This rosé wine, made with 100% grenache grapes, is a bright and attractive, pale pink colour with salmony hues. It is clean and intense on the nose with a lively and ample attack on the palate. Acidity is balanced and the finish is long, fruity and persistent.

Bodegas Pagos de Araiz

With the acquisition of the Pagos de Aráiz estate in Olite by the Masaveu Family in 2000, began a fresh and daring project in the traditional D.O. Navarra. This venture began with the construction of an ultra-modern 14,000 m2 château-style winery situated just outside the medieval town of Olite.

Over the following three years, on the 300-hectare estate, 240 hectares of family-owned vineyards were planted with several grape varietals (tempranillo, graciano, grenache, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and syrah). The innovative management method and the wide variety of wine tourism activities connect the historical, natural and winemaking importance of the area to art and gastronomy. The ideal scenario for a brilliant and promising future, linked to the values of Navarra, a classical yet emerging winemaking territory.

This winery in Navarra last year obtained the Wineries for Climate Protection (WFCP) stamp which certifies it as an environmentally sustainable winery. Only fifty wineries in Spain hold this certificate to prove their environmental commitment, a significant differential value and competitive advantage. This certification highlights the winery’s commitment in the fight against climate change and its bid for sustainability, acting on four basic pillars of its activity: reducing its carbon footprint, energy efficiency, water management and reduction of residues. Pagos de Araiz currently manages 32 hectares of vineyards following Organic Farming criteria and 210 following Integrated Production standards with the aim to make them all organic in the medium term.

Pagos de Araiz has two ranges: Blaneo and Pagos de Araiz. The Pagos de Araiz range has five wines, and the premium line Blaneo, has four high range wines which are monovarietal and limited production.
