The Pagos de Araiz winery in Navarra yesterday received the Alimenta Navarra Award 2021, in the category of Internacionalization, due to their active participation in International markets; they are present in over 35 countries and 68% of total sales are to other countries.
Teresa Muñoz, Communications and Marketing Manager at Masaveu Family Wineries, the winemaking group that this winery belongs to, was presented with this prize by Itziar Gómez, Minister for Environment and Rural Development, in a ceremony that took place in the Gaztambide Theatre in Tudela in Navarra, organized by Navarra Capital and supported by Clúster Agroalimentario de Navarra (NAGRIFOOD).
During her speech, Teresa Muñoz apologized for the absence of José Masaveu, General Manager of the group, and Javier Torres, Exports Manager, who due to “previously existing travel engagements” could not attend the gala. “Precisely, the task of promoting the wines we make in wonderful places like this is incessant, constant and unstoppable”, she said on their behalf.
Pagos de Araiz wines are present in over 35 countries and, they are currently preparing to land in new markets such as Russia and Brazil. The Minister said that Pagos de Ariaz “undoubtedly deserves this award due to the tough competition and for adhering to the Sustainable Development Targets (ODS), which set the standards to follow in production”.
During her intervention, Muñoz stated that the award had arrived after difficult times: “This is a gift that shall give us the strength to keep on fighting”. Navarra Capital and Clúster Agroalimentario de Navarra (NAGRIFOOD) support these awards; they also count on the sponsorship of Eroski and CaixaBank, and the collaboration of the Council of Tudela, the Government of Navarra, the Company Association of la Ribera (AER) and the Union of Agrofood Cooperatives of Navarra (UCAN).
The Communications and Marketing Manager thanked all of the team at the Pagos de Araiz winery: the vineyard managers, oenologists, oenotourism, communication, commercial and logistics departments. She also dedicated some emotive words to the Masaveu family “Thank you for creating such an artistic and beautiful Project in Olite”, she thanked the distributors and importers for being their hands, feet and eyes and the customers and consumers for “their trust” when choosing the wine.
