A fresh and daring project
The Masaveu Family bought the Pagos de Araiz Estate in Olite in 2000 and began a fresh and daring project in the traditional D.O. Navarra. This venture commenced with the construction of an ultra-modern 14,000-m2 château-style winery, which was inaugurated three years later and was specially designed, not only to make and store great wines but also to become a leader in oenotourism due to the significant artistic and cultural features in the area.
The painstaking care taken in the vineyard and the winery are the key to the success in their winemaking. The combination of the vines, the state-of-the-art technology and pioneering control procedures, award an average 500,000 bottles annually.
The Pagos de Araiz estate covers a total of 300 hectares, of which 240 are estate vineyards that surround the facilities and are planted with several grape varietals (tempranillo, graciano, grenache, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah).
Pagos de Araiz makes genuine and daring wines according to the high standard of quality known to all the wines crafted by this family. This winery makes seven different wines within 2 ranges: Blaneo and Pagos de Araiz.
The Pagos de Araiz range has five wines: a Rosé, selected as the best Rosé from Navarra in a the Selection of Wines from DO Navarra 2021; a recently created Rosé; a young wine; a Roble wine aged in Oak, considered the Best Red Oak aged wine from D.O. Navarra 2020 and a Crianza aged wine.
The Blaneo range, the winery’s most Premium range, includes two monovarietal wines: Blaneo Syrah, a 100% syrah red wine aged for twelve months in French and American oak barrels; and Blaneo Chardonnay, a 100% chardonnay white wine aged and matured in French oak barrels for six months.
