An excellent red wine, Leda Viñas Viejas, for the best father in the world on his special day.

Because there’s only one father, he deserves to celebrate his special day in style, with the love and appreciation of his children — and a gift that honors his unconditional affection. To that end, the Valladolid-based winery Leda, part of the Masaveu Wineries wine group, suggests gifting, sharing, and savoring with fathers everywhere a Leda Viñas Viejas 2018, an excellent, multi-terroir red wine full of character.

Its unique character comes from 23 months of aging in new French and American oak barrels, as well as from the vineyards, which are between 70 and 100 years old and spread across the Duero Valley, featuring diverse microclimates and ripening times. This level of excellence is also shared by all Leda wines — exceptional, extraordinary wines that bear the gourmet signature of the Masaveu Wineries group, which operates in several Designations of Origin (DOs).

From this vintage, 10,936 bottles of 75 cl and 506 magnum bottles were produced. The wine is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. Visually, it displays an intense, bright cherry-red color. On the nose, it offers pleasant and intense aromas of ripe black fruit, sweet spices, balsamic notes, and dried fruits. On the palate, it is fruity, powerful, and well-balanced. The recommended serving temperature is between 15 and 17ºC.

Recommended retail price: €33
